Cardiff School of Bio sciences is funding Master's studentship for UK, EU and international students. Studentship is awarded for Master of Research (MRes) programme in Bio sciences. Cardiff School is offering bursaries of up to full UK/EU MRes fees (currently £6,888 for UK and EU students; £17,000 for International students). English language proficiency is required. Applicants must have a undergraduate degree at level 2:2 (or higher) in a relevant biological, bio medical or bio-molecular science subject. Applicants should submit a CV and covering letter via email by 30/05/2014.

-Scholarships awarded to exceptional UK/EU students to work in the field of helminthology, decided by the awarding committee according to merit. -If English is not your first language we require one of the following English language qualifications:

•IELTS 6.5, with a minimum of 6.0 in each element

•TOEFL Paper Based Test = 580

•TOEFL Computer Based Test = 250

•TOEFL Internet Based Test = 92

•GCSE/IGCSE grade C or above If you have a different English qualification please contact us. If you do not have the required score you may wish to consider an English Language Course at Cardiff University.

Scholarship Description: The Cardiff Parasitology Group invites you to apply for a seven month research project in helminth parasitology as part of the Masters of Research in Bio sciences. A wide range of research projects are available in both applied and fundamental research using a diversity of host-parasite systems, including invertebrates, fish and mammals. The group offers a friendly, exciting and supportive research environment to develop your research skills. The Master of Research (MRes) in Bio sciences is a one-year programme designed to provide a valuable postgraduate qualification that enables individuals who wish to improve their research skills to undertake a research project in the laboratory of an internationally renowned scientist. The programme would be ideal for someone thinking of undertaking a PhD but wishing to learn more about research. It also offers the award of a postgraduate certificate thus maximizing accessibility to individuals working in industry or higher education, both at home or abroad. Start Date: There is one intake each year in late September. The next enrollment session for the MRes in Bio sciences is September 2014.
