At the Chair of Bioprocess Engineering of the Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg (Head: Prof. Udo Reichl) a PhD student position (100%) is currently available in the group of Downstream Processing.

The Bioprocess Engineering group mainly focuses on mammalian cell culture for vaccine production, downstream processing for purification of inactivated antigens and dynamics of microbial communities and works in close collaboration with the Max-Planck-Institute for the Dynamics of Complex Technological Systems, which is also located in Magdeburg.

The vacant PhD student position is positioned within the BMBF research project: "Employment of synthetic ligands for the affinity purification of glycoproteins and vaccine antigens", which is set up in close collaboration with the Max-Planck-Institute in Magdeburg, the Eberhard-Karl University in T?¼bingen and various industrial partners. The research activities for this particular position are located at the Max-Planck-Institute.
