Job Description:
• Evaluate well design alternatives to provide auditable design basis for chosen development plans.
• Perform Drilling Engineering functions.
• Challenge all well designs as part of a peer review process.
• Direct overall well planning operations and in doing so serve as an Operational Excellence Champion.
• Focus on the leading indicators of safety and well construction.
• Provide mentoring to newly hired engineers.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of Second Class Upper Division.
Required Skills:
- Mastery of Wellview Drilling and Database Application
- Demonstrable knowledge of well planning softwares
- Good planning, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Effective communication skills
Experience
• Minimum of Five (5) years relevant post degree work experience as a Drilling and Well Design Engineer (includes National Youth Service)
