PTDF Awards Scholarships to 12 FUTO Undergraduate Students

A Federal Government Intervention Educational Agency, the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) has awarded scholarships to twelve (12) undergraduate students of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri.

The scholarship granted under the Local Scholarship Scheme (LSS) of the Agency is expected to derive direct and maximum benefit from the Universities Upgrade and Endowment Programmes of the Fund. The Scheme is also designed to encourage outstanding students in Nigeria in tertiary institutions to pursue Programmes relevant to the development of the oil and gas industry in Nigeria.

In his reaction, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof C. C. Asiabaka commended the students for bringing honour to the University and promoting the quest for academic excellence.

The successful students who would soon be formally presented their scholarship awards at a formal ceremony in the University are as follows:
