Expected to promote and lead a world class approach to Health, Safety and the Environment amongst both the company employees and contractors through briefing, training, raising awareness and leading by example. Play a leading and critical role in promoting a culture of excellence in the areas of Health, Safety and the Environment function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out safety inspections on a daily basis and give immediate feedback to safety coordinator

• Participate in task risk assessments by being a resource to departmental crews

• To inspect and ensure emergency equipment are functional and available

• Participate in fire and medical drills to ensure adequate preparedness and response

• Participate in Environmental and Safety auditing

• Brief workforce/supervisors on HSE issues, incl. toolbox talks and safety inductions

• Monitor and Report non-conformance's and corrective actions

• Report and escalate all incidents and injuries to safety coordinator

• Liaison with Local Authorities and the general public as required.

Key Requirement:

• Min 2years of HSE experience in Cement/Construction / Manufacturing

• Environmental / Safety or related qualification

• OND in Science / Engineering / Technical Subjects.

Mandatory Skills:

• Good level of data entry

• Good communication skills

• Good problem solving and  trouble shooting skills

• Ability to work well within diverse teams.
