PPS Bursary for Postgraduate South African Students, 2014

The Professional Provident Society of South Africa is offering postgraduate bursary for South African citizens to study at participating South African University or University of Technology. bursary is awarded for fourth academic year of study or postgraduate degree program. Bursaries are awarded on the basis of financial need and academic record. Recipients of the Bursary awards will be required to become PPS Student members at no additional cost. The deadline for applications is 30 November 2013. Successful applicants will be notified by 28 February 2014.

Study Subject(s): The following professions are accepted by PPS: Accountants, Actuaries, Advocates, Attorneys, Architects, Dentists, Doctors (belonging to the HPCSA), Engineers (Electrical & Mechanical with four year degree), Farmer (with four year degree in agriculture), Nurses (with four year B.Cur degree), Pharmacists, Physiotherapists, Radiologists, Radiographers, Scientists, Surgeons, Auditor, Dietician, Veterinarian, Gynaecologist, Microbiologist, Occupational Therapist, Speech and Hearing Therapist, Human Resources Practitioner, Anthropologist, Archaeologist, Political Analyst, Researcher, Linguist, Biokineticist, Social Worker, Biochemist, Biologist, Scientist, Statician, Audiologist, Mathematician, Agriculturalist, Economist, Historian, Meteorologist, Town and Regional Planner, Astronomist, Botanist, Industrial Psychology, Ecologist, Land Surveyor and other professions<

Course Level: This bursary is awarded for fourth academic year of study or postgraduate degree at participating South African University or University of Technology in South Africa.

Eligibility:1. PPS bursaries are awarded on financial need and academic record to full time university students.

2. To be eligible for the 2014 awards, the student must be registered at a participating South African University or University of Technology registering for a fourth academic year of study or post-graduate degree and must be studying towards a profession, which on qualification, would be eligible for PPS membership.

3. If you are a student in your 4th academic year of study at a University or University of Technology, studying towards one of the PPS eligible professions, you can join PPS.

4. The student must be a citizen or permanent resident of South Africa

5. Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into

6. Application forms must be returned to the PPS Youth Market Specialist (listed below) with 4 supporting documents (listed below) via email or on campus

7. Recipients of the Bursary awards will be required to become PPS Student members at no additional cost
