The University of Edinburgh will offer 20 Master's scholarships for postgraduate study in any subject offered by the University for the 2010-2011 academic sessions. Each scholarship will have a value of £3,000 which will be tenable for one academic year.
Eligibility: The scholarships will be awarded to students who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for a postgraduate Master's programme of study at the University of Edinburgh from the following countries:
List of African Countries (http://www.scholarships.ed.ac.uk/postgraduate/internat/africa.htm), List of Middle East Countries (http://www.scholarships.ed.ac.uk/postgraduate/internat/middle_east.htm), Canada, China, Norway, Hong Kong, Russia, India, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, and USA
Applicants should already have been offered a place at the University of Edinburgh and should have firmly accepted that offer or be intending to do so.
Criteria: The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree at undergraduate level or the international equivalent.

Completed application forms must be returned to the Scholarships and Student Finance Office no later than 1 April 2010.
Selection Procedure: A Selection Committee will meet in late May 2010 to select the scholarship holders. The winners of the scholarships will be announced in early June 2010.
