They are currently recruiting for the position of Wells Team Leader, based in Lagos,Nigeria.

Job Description:

•   Planning wells to achieve Best in Class performance and production rate in the projects while maintaining the HSE safe practices, championing Goal Zero and the Life Saving Rules.

•   Ensure process safety considerations are fully embedded in the planning and design of the wells.

•   Ensure adherence to the Global Well Delivery Process (and rDtL methodology) and effectively manage the interface between the various stakeholders.

•   Determine the necessary resources for the team to achieve the set goals, generate the workscope and justification for the CTR whilst keeping track of CTR spend.

•   Maintain an active learning and improvement loop based with existing project Main asset post-well review process and share best practices with the wider Wells P&T community.

•   Develop and own the well cost and schedule estimate appropriate to the project phase using company internal, regional and global data for top quartile benchmarks.

•   Empower and lead the team in appropriate applications of best practices, new technology and Better-to-Best practices in order to deliver Best in Class performance in the area of well engineering, completions, production attainment and project cycle time.

•   Drive implementation of Decision Space for collaborative well planning with the respective integrated subsurface teams across the portfolio of projects.

•   Maintain an effective team and lead the transitioning and domestication (as applicable) of technical scope of the well engineering and completion planning from contractor to company

•   Provide Wells input to various project deliverables and control documents – including but not limited to Field Development Plan, Basis for Design, Value Improvement plan, Management of Change, Well Proposals, Environmental Impact Assessment, Risk and Opportunity register, Interface management.

•   Lead the Wells team on Project Milestone Reviews – Value Assurance Reviews, Technical Peer Reviews and Estimate/Schedule Assurance Reviews.

•   Champion the company Wells Design Standard to ensure standardization of well concept and interchangeability of equipment across the project.

•   Champion the Wells Management of Change & Risk Management process during Wells project planning per the WDP.

•   Provide the Wells execution plan including Wells technology implementation in the project plan

•   Establish and maintain data and information management systems as necessary

•   Represent Wells Management in the project leadership team to provide overall global and regional wells strategic direction

Skills & Experience:

•   Able to lead individuals effectively

•   Experience with well operations from floating vessels, particularly with deepwater / sub-sea wells.

•   Able to influence others in support of delivering business objectives

•   Able and committed to levering support from the global organization though his/her network

•   Highly regarded technical professional with over 15+ years experience in well engineering and well delivery operations, with demonstrated leadership skills and competencies.

•   Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering

•   Significant experience of floating deepwater/sub-sea well operations.

•   Thorough understanding of the Well Delivery process. Experience in support roles in WE (SCM, New Technology, DtL, QA-QC) is preferred.

•   Must be able to demonstrate commitment to a robust cross-functional approach in which Development teams, Production and Engineering teams and all Support teams are expected to work together seamlessly.

•   Visibly demonstrate personal and company HSE commitment and drive towards technical excellence.

This is a contract position.

The rate for this position is negotiable.
