In her bids to provide risk management services to the insuring public, especially in Agricultural sector of Nigerian Economy, a General Insurance Company with over 25 years operation in the country, is seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates for the above position.

Job Description:

The candidate shall be responsible for the following duties:

. – Underwriting and management of Agricultural Insurance Portfolio of the Company. – Research and advise on the best risk management approach for the company's Agricultural Insurance Portfolio. – Conduct pre-loss survey on agricultural insurance risk and prepare reports for underwriter purposes. – Report agricultural insurance portfolio premiums and claims on a regular basis to Management through the Divisional Head of Technical.

Qualification: – A relevant degree in Agriculture, Agric Economics, Insurance/Actuarial Science or Social Sciences, – 7-10 years relevant working experience in Insurance industry out of which 5 years must be in the management and underwriting of agricultural insurance risks.

Attributes: – Well organised, pro-active, hands-on individual with excellent leadership skills to build team work and coordinateactivities and individuals towards attaining organizational objectives – Entrepreneurial drive and the willingness to scale-up Agricultural Insurance portfolio from a start-up into a profit-making unit. – The person must be able to familiarize him/herself quickly with the field of agricultural insurance. – Demonstrable insurance sales management and underwriting experience is required – A thorough understanding of local insurance regulations, procedures and practices relating to Agric insurance. – Good knowledge and skills in Microsoft applications. – Age: Candidates above 45 years need not apply.
