Post by: emezico on Jan 02, 2012, 12:37 AM
The management of Federal Polytechnic Bida has suspended activities of the Students Union Government (SUG) and abolished the Association of Directorate of Continuing Education Students (ADCES) with immediate effect.

A memo to that effect and made available to Campus roundup said the Rectory Advisory Committee took the decision after the September 26 students' crisis which led to the earlier closure of the school.

The Deputy Registrar, Academics, Muhammed Baba Ndana said henceforth all student unions will be operating under the SUG whenever its ban was lifted.

Meanwhile, the council has approved 3.000 CGPA as the new mandatory academic requirement for aspiration into student union offices instead of 2.500 CGPA.
