Applications are accepted for 2014 Jacob and Charlotte Kahane Scholarship at RMIT University. If you are passionate about journalism and have the will to succeed, this scholarship can provide financial assistance towards your living and study costs.

This scholarship was created in memory of Jacob and Charlotte Kahane. Charlotte Kahane was a former RMIT University student, who faced many challenges during her lifetime but ultimately lived a rewarding and successful life. In her Will, Charlotte Kahane left a bequest to RMIT University to establish a scholarship for students undertaking undergraduate studies in journalism, with a preference for Jewish students. The scholarship provides up to $6000 as a one-off payment.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:



  • be enrolled full time at RMIT in 2014

  • be enrolled in an undergraduate journalism program

  • be able to demonstrate enthusiasm regarding your journalism studies

  • not have completed the same or higher level of program, e.g. if you plan to study a Bachelor of Journalism, you should not have previously completed another bachelor degree.

Preference will be given to students with a Jewish background.
