Job Title: Material Controller / Receiving Inspector / Roustabout

Essential Skills/Ability:

•   Experienced material controller with supervisory experience both on and off shore of managing flow of materials from requisition to installation, based onshore

•   In-depth knowledge of materials admin, supply, logistics etc within offshore oil and gas industry.

•   Ability to communicate effectively with personnel internally and externally representing company to clients and suppliers.

•   Ability to interface with vendors, sub contractors, clients and company Management.

•   Capable of distributing work to other Material Controllers and storemen effectively.

•   Able to appraise performance of team and identify training needs.

•   Ability to notice improvements that can be made to supply chain efficiencies and can implement them successfully.

•   Competent at recommending process improvements.

•   High level of computer literacy plus experience in Procurement programmes.

•   A team worker who can also work under their own initiative. Proven experience of managing stock levels.

•   Ability to implement and promote SHEQ policy and other regulations such as Lifting, Environmental, COSHH to the team.

•   Capable of maintaining registers of the likes of equipment and hazardous chemicals.

•   Experienced in looking after supply vessel movements.

•   Experience of maintaining records of project materials.

•   In depth knowledge of company and legislative requirements appertaining to materials on and off shore.

•   Ability to work to deadlines.

•   Ability to liaise effectively with buying, engineering, fabrications, warehouse and offshore personnel

•   Good verbal and written communication skills.

•   Ability to motivate subordinates.

•   Ability to communicate with personnel at all levels.

•   Good level of commercial awareness.

•   Proven leadership skills.

•   Demonstrates potential to move into a higher procurement role.

•   Determination to achieve personal objectives and goals.

Academic Qualifications Minimum: HND or equivalent in appropriate subject or highly experience in similar role.
