Requirement:

A reputable HMO has a vacancy for an accomplished Enterprise Applications and IT Manager to be responsible for and drive systems implementation, business process re-engineering, systems integration, support, maintenance, reporting and change management activities within the HMO business.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will have systems implementation project or systems management work experience within the Insurance industry (preferable Health Insurance); combined with some Finance and Accounting expertise. The candidate will possess both project management and business systems analysis skills – the position will require these sets of skills to be successful. The position is a mix of project management (approx. 20% of the role) and business and technical systems analysis (approx. 40% of the role) and operations support and maintenance (approx.40% of the role).

Key Responsibilities:

•         Manage and coordinate the initial assessment, analysis, requirements, development, testing and implementation of incremental enhancements/change requests and other minor releases to our Core Insurance system.

•         Project manage and perform the business systems analysis work associated with core Insurance change requests, projects, assessments and escalated issues.

•         Work closely with the CEO, CIO and HODs, Group IT and the Systems vendor to ensure efforts are synchronized and coordinated as efficiently as possible. They will be responsible for managing assignments with a matrixed set of resources.

•         Comprehend complex business requirements and translate the requirements to a functional system design document under the guidelines of a SDLC based framework.

Key business processes supported include:

1.    Member enrollment and eligibility management.

2.    Customers, providers and plans record management.

3.    Claims processing and provider payments.

4.    Business performance reporting.

Required Qualifications and Experience – Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field. – 4+ years of experience in leading software development, implementation and administration teams in all aspects of the SDLC with a strong emphasis on Enterprise Application Architecture, Client Server, Web-based applications and Internet Systems architectures. – 4+ years of experience in ERP applications administration – specialist knowledge, expertise and experience in implementing and maintaining enterprise applications (such as Oracle, SAP) and related applications architectures and platforms. – 3+ years of experience in database administration – advanced knowledge, expertise and experience in managing relational databases and SQL Programming Language, Oracle RDBMS, DB2, SQL Server), Data Modeling, Data Warehouses, Single-Sign-On. – 3+ years of experience in systems administration – advanced knowledge of MS Server, Unix and Linux operating systems. – IT Management – must be fully conversant with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) principles. Evidence of training in one or more modules will be an advantage. – Advanced knowledge and understanding of IT general and application access controls, including end-user computing tools in a complex cross-functional organization – Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail. – Strong analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills. – Energetic, highly self-motivated and able to work efficiently and productively. – Candidate must show evidence of a very strong academic record – as this position will require advanced functional and technical training.
