Job Title: Maternity Supervisor

Location: Jahun, Nigeria

Eligibility: Open To Qualified Mid-Wives/ Nurse Midwife

Unit: Maternity Ward

Context: Médecins Sans Frontières is a private, non-profit international humanitarian organization dedicated to providing medical assistance to populations in crisis, without discrimination and regardless of race, religion, creed or political affiliation.

Job Description:

•   Supervising all operational aspects of the Maternity ward.

•   Ensure and follow the statistics and data collection

•   Manage the Maternity staff in administrative and technical aspects

Required Skills and Conditions:

•   Nigerian Registered Mid-wife/ Nurse Qualification;

•   Strong experience in mid-wifery.

•   Good Understanding of Concepts/Roles in supervision.

•   Strong experience in management and Leadership minimum 1 year.

•   Good Understanding of organizational Behavior and People Management.

•   Strong work ethic, commitment to humanitarian objectives.

•   Motivation, flexibility and capacity to work as a team and in emergency program

•   Good Computer skills (word and Excel).

•   Experience in Clinical Training (mentoring).

•   Should have knowledge of Pharmacy management.

•   Fluent in spoken and written English and Hausa.

Work Location: Jahun Hospital, Jigawa State (Nigeria).

Contract:

•   Contract starting December 2013.

•   208 working hours per month and night duty.

•   Roster flexibility required.
