JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Comply with the Cardinal Drilling Services Limited's Code of Conduct, all company policies and procedures and other supporting policies, standards and applicable process documentation.
• Formulation of operating policies and procedures for operational and support functions of the rigs and documentation of these in the form of a written Operations Manual. Regular review, evaluation and updating of these acquiring input from other managers as appropriate
• Assists the Operations Manager/Chief Operating Officer in developing and tracking the operational business objectives and work plans, making changes to infrastructure or personnel requirements as required to meet the plans
• Involved with Rigs, Sites and Projects management in operational decisions including materials, equipment and contracting requirements, scheduling, and planning process definition.
• Works with the Quality, Health, Safety, Security & Environment manager to ensure a healthy, safe and injury free work environment is maintained and all corporate policies and best Practices are adhered to
• Overall direction, supervision and performance management of direct reports in maintenance, drilling materials management and procurement
• Perform all work according to agreed expectations of both internal and external customers focus on doing things right the first time, every time and contribute actively to continual improvement activities.
• Act as a Safety Leader ensuring the ongoing identification of hazards and the implementation of controls to manage the associated risks
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of drill floor operations and take complete charge of drilling activities
• Maintain close line of communication with the drilling teams on all rigs at all times to ensure that zero NPT on all rigs.
• Ensure that operations are planned, organised, supervised and executed in accordance with well programs, rig move plans, Company's requirements and contractual obligations.
• Ensuring the Maintenance of a standard housekeeping on-board assigned rigs to Company's standards with a particular focus on escape routes to remain clear of any obstruction at all times and cleanliness.
• Openly communicate with all departments, client and third parties as required.
• Prepare a comprehensive and accurate work status report and communicate it at end of shift and end of hitch handovers
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by management of Cardinal Drilling Services Limited.
