Job description: – As an integral member of our delivery team, the MIS Engineer is responsible for the design, development, implementation and support of mission-critical enterprise Business Intelligence (BI) reports. Working with cross-functional teams, he will participate to document reporting requirements to meet business needs. – Using his skills and experience as a BI Report Developer, he will then use those requirements to design, develop, test and implement reports and dashboards that utilize the underlying data store(s)/ data warehouse(s) / data mart(s).
1. Participate in business analysis activities to gather required reporting and dashboard requirements
2. Translate business requirements into specifications that will be used to implement the required reports and dashboards, created from potentially multiple data sources
3. Participate with other specialist to convert legacy reports in easily exploitable format
4. Transition developed reports and dashboards to the Operations & Support team
5. Provide support as required to ensure the availability and performance of developed reports and dashboards for both external and internal users
6. Ensure proper configuration management and change controls are implemented for your sphere of influence
7. Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members.
8. Provide training and assistance to users for generation of adhoc reports
9. Design and implement technology best practices, guidelines and repeatable processes
10. Must be able to perform duties with moderate to low supervision.
Required:
• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 3 years experience in new technologies in application development field and able to quickly react to the changes. Ability to read, write and understand technical documentation
• At least 3 years experience in Familiar with at least one relational database management system with a strong knowledge of SQL standard language
• At least 3 years experience in Familiar with at least one application development language (Java, Visual Basic, C++, Delphi). Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, UNIX, Oracle, SQL Server & SQL
• At least 3 years experience in Awareness of CRM and Middleware systems. 3rd party management and relationships. Good Technical English
• English: Fluent
