Africa Educational Trust Scholarships and Grants

The Africa Educational Trust (AET) has been assisting African students in the UK since 1958. All AET grants and scholarship programmes have specific criteria for eligibility and students should only apply to those programmes for which they are eligible. Applicants will not receive a response from the Trust if they apply for a grant or scholarship for which they are not eligible. All awards are made at the discretion of the Trust.

Currently awards are available from:
1) Southern Sudanese (Africa) Scholarship Programme
2) Southern Sudanese (UK) Scholarship Programme
3) Small Emergency Grants
4) Kenneth Kirkwood Fund
5) Andrzejewski Memorial Fund

All applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Applicants must come from Africa and be studying in the UK on a student's visa
• The financial difficulty must be unexpected
• The student must be in the final four months of his/her study
• All applications must be supported in writing by the student's supervisor, tutor or head of course

Funding applies to: International (non-EU) applicants
Funding notes: Students from African countries only
Funding duration: one-off grants
