Job Title: Chief Marketing Officer

Job description

•   Chief Marketing Officer, to take responsibility for the Marketing function for the businesses operation.

•   This individual will be involved in digital marketing campaigns including social media, pay per click and Google adwords.

•   Launching and managing digital marketing campaigns will be a key focus for this role along with being able to produce quantifiable ROI reports, through the use of IT & click tracking, on the impact of the targeted marketing campaigns.

•   The position will play a crucial role in supporting the growth of the business and the individual will be expected to have an in-depth understanding of digital media and online marketing campaigns.

•   The CMO will be required to provide direction for branding, advertising and customer engagement.

•   The role is broad and all encompassing, and aligned with the nature of a high-growth business, thus it will require this person to be flexible and to be willing to 'wear many hats'.

•   Responsibilities will include defining the Company's marketing strategy that will help shape and support the business strategy, implementing highly efficient and ROI-driven marketing programmes that will contribute directly to the growth of the business, both in terms of market share and audience reach, as well as profitability.

Salary: $40,000 to $50,000

Desired Skills and Experience:  – At least 5 years' experience of marketing management – Technical knowledge, the ability to analyse data and present in-depth findings – A degree or equivalent qualification in marketing, economics or a related discipline

Other Requirements:

•   Marketing experience: Proven B2B and B2C Marketing experience within the African Sub-Saharan regions is highly desirable, with knowledge spanning across Strategy, Branding, Online and Offline Marketing, Performance Marketing, CRM, Search, Social Media, PR and Communication, Advertising and Partnership Marketing.

•   Multi -cultural, fully aware of differences in markets to define and implement successful marketing campaigns is desirable.

•   A proven track record of defining and driving complex marketing strategies through credibility at board level must be demonstrated.

•   Strategic and implementation focused: Ability to create and drive the Company's Marketing Strategy from the top down (from market and competitive landscape analysis, business strategy, target and metrics definition, brand positioning to defining and implementing marketing programmes).

•   Is results and implementation focussed, very hands-on and willing to get stuck in and to roll-up sleeves.

•   Business acumen and commerciality: Ability to understand overall business objectives and align the marketing objectives appropriately. Analytical, ROI- focussed decision-making, strong business-minded approach, motivated by capturing the highest market share through most effective use of funds.

•   Communication: Strong communicator with a logical, structured, clear, credible and inspiring style. Capable of impacting global business strategy and educating peers on Marketing
