Lekhwiya took a step towards qualifying for the quarter-finals of the 2015 AFC Champions League with a 2-1 win over fellow Qatari side Al Sadd on Tuesday, while last year's runners-up and two-time champions Al Hilal slid to an agonising 1-0 defeat at the hands of Iranian outfit Persepolis.
