Job Title: Principal Control And Automation (PACO) Engineer
Job type: Contract

Location: Lagos Nigeria 

Type: 12 Month Contract

Purpose: The Principal Control and Automation Engineer reports directly to the Head of the Control and Automation Engineering discipline and shall be responsible for control, metering and automation engineering of Greenfield and Brownfield Control and Automation Engineering design, construction & commissioning activities and Asset Support, Asset Integrity assurance in the Deepwater Projects Organization. He shall be conversant and be able to use applicable C&A tools for the suite of design studies

Accountabilities:

In particular, the Principal Control & Automation engineer's accountabilities include:

•    Provide control, measurement, and automation technical input for floating systems from identify, assess, concept selection, FEED, design, and commissioning/start-up support for Brown Field upgrades, and Green Field developments.

•    Provide high level cost effective solution for control, automation, metering, communication network requirements, and safeguarding (HIPPS or flare system) requirements for floating systems.

•    Help to deliver large, complex field development projects safely, on or ahead of schedule, and on or below budget according to the business plan. Projects are to be completed to full customer satisfaction allowing sustained operational integrity and performance

Experience and Qualifications required:  – A B.Sc. degree in Electrical/Electronic/Instrumentation and Control engineering.  – 10 years experience in instrument, control, and automation or project engineering with at least 5 years in offshore facilities design and operation.

The competence required for this position is a combination of leadership skills, technical mastery, project execution skill, experience of building and operating diverse relationships, and understanding the commercial objectives and environment in which Client operates.

The candidate should have an interest in the technical evaluation, estimation of cost, design, construction and installation of offshore facilities. Other competencies required are:

•    Proven, broad knowledge of deepwater floating systems design, fabrication, installation, commissioning and operation with depth in FPSO systems.

•    Discipline Controls and Assurance Framework and TA System

•    HSE commitment and leadership.
