KEY REPORTING Relationships:

REPORTS TO: Area Construction Site Manager

SUPERVISES: Construction Site leads, Site Support Team

LOCATION: Fabrication Yard

MAIN FUNCTION:

•   Lead Site Safety

•   Lead site team (as assigned) for completion of fabrication activities in accordance with project objectives, priorities, and contract specifications.

•   Oversee the execution of fabrication, construction, and hookup

•   Coordinate activities of site safety, technical, quality inspection and completions personnel

•   Determine if corrective actions are needed in order to meet project objectives, and work to have these implemented

•   Report progress, performance, initiatives, issues, and challenges to Area Construction Site Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

•   Champion on-site safety awareness and safe performance with subcontractor and among project team members and ensure adherence to SHES Program.

•   Review construction installation procedures

•   Ensure timely receipt of progress reports from subcontractor.

•   Prepare a daily/weekly/monthly progress report summary issued to the Construction Managers including issues and forecasts.

•   Supervise engineering and construction of subcontractor's staff.

•   Ensuring that subcontractor's construction team has all approved procedures and are adhered to while the work proceeds.

•   Review shop drawings, check MTO and ascertain material availability.

•   Has responsibility for drawings review activities  and redline mark-up of drawings

•   Initiate site visit requirement prior to the fabrication to ensure the proper utilization of the free issue material.

•   Produce CP2 (Construction readiness check point) list.

•   Maintain register of all documents daily, weekly, monthly, MOM's and correspondences are also to be documented.

•   Liaise with project team on technical matters.

•   Interface between the subcontractor and other project organizations.

•   Ensure equipment mobilization lists are properly completed for each job.

•   Provide support to the Construction Manager as required.

•   Ensure the subcontractor fully understands the SOW.

•   Ensure the project execution is in strict adherence to policies and procedures and all activities are carried out in such a way as to mitigate possible risks.
