United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) works for the survival, protection and development of Nigerian children. UNICEF Nigeria seeks the services of an experienced HIV/AIDS Specialist who will under the supervision of the Child Survival Manager, be responsible for the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of HIV/AIDS programmes in the Field Office.

Post Title:  HIV/AIDS Specialist, NOC

Contract Type:  Fixed Term
Duration: Two years
Location: Lagos

The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following duties:
1. Design, manages, implements, monitors and evaluates HIV/AIDS programmes.
2. Participates in the preparation of the sectoral documents for the Country Programme Recommendation (CPR) and Plans of Action, Country Programme Summary Sheet, and other programme documents, as required.
3. Prepares HIV/AIDS programme status reports required for management, Board, donors, budget review, programme analysis, annual reports, etc.

Minimum Qualifications & Competencies
• Advanced university degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, or related technical field.
• Minimum of Five years of progressively responsible professional work experience in programme management, monitoring and evaluation, in a related field.
• Fluency in English required. Knowledge of another UN language an asset.
• Knowledge of the local working language of the duty station is an asset.
• Knowledge of the latest developments and technology in related fields.
