2011 Travel Scholarships at University of Cape Town, South Africa

The following travel scholarships are available to Master and Doctoral Students at University of Cape Town, South Africa:

1. UCT Conference Travel Grants

The intention of these awards is to provide opportunities for young researchers who will contribute to future research.

Eligibility:
•   Masters students in the SECOND year of study only are eligible for LOCAL travel only (but including SADC countries).
•   Doctoral students in the SECOND & THIRD YEARS of study only are eligible for LOCAL and INTERNATIONAL travel.
•   Students who have UPGRADED from Masters to Doctoral study only are eligible for LOCAL and INTERNATIONAL travel.
•   Evidence of the Upgrade must be provided.

2. Scholarships for International Travel

The above scholarships are available to assist Master's and Doctoral students registered at the University of Cape Town to proceed to an approved international institution for purposes of a visiting scholars programme, for research, or for attendance at specific and approved courses. The awards are intended for individual senior students and have been established to enhance the research activities being conducted for the completion of the degree.
