The CBS television network and other channels controlled by its parents returned to Time Warner Cable systems Monday evening, after the companies resolved an ongoing dispute. One key issue: Whether CBS would be able to sell its content to new, Internet-delivered pay-TV systems like Netflix and ones under development by Intel and Sony. According to an email by CBS CEO Les Moonves to employees, CBS will be able to "monetize our content going forward on all the new, developing platforms."

At one point, Time Warner Cable had recommended that its customers subscribe to Aereo to get CBS's flagship channel online; CBS also has an ongoing legal dispute with Aereo, which rebroadcasts television signals to subscribers over the Internet.
