The following are currently available undergraduate scholarships & awards at the College of Physical Sciences of University of Aberdeen, United Kingdom.

AAker Solutions, a leading global provider of engineering and construction services, technology products and integrated solutions, is offering one Aker Subsea Specialist Scholarship.

The scholarship is open to full time students starting the third year of any of the undergraduate degree programmes listed below in September 2010:
•   BSc Computing Science
•   MEng Mechanical Engineering
•   MEng Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
•   MEng Mechanical Engineering with Materials
•   MEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering
•   MEng Electrical Engineering with Sustainable Energy
•   MEng Electronic and Computer Engineering
•   MEng Electronic Engineering with Oceanic Instrumentation
•   MEng Electronic Engineering with Communications

You should note that only applicants domiciled in the UK and classified as Home Fees are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

The successful applicant will receive £1,000 per year for the rest of their undergraduate degree programme.

In addition, the Aker Subsea Specialist Scholarship offers:
•   Mentoring from Aker Subsea staff
•   A guaranteed interview for paid summer work placements
•   Provision of an industrially focussed final year project
•   An invitation to attend the Aker Solutions Graduate Assessment Centre in the final year of the student’s period of study

Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNR International Limited) is offering one CNR John Aina Petroleum Engineering Scholarship. Students commencing a BEng Petroleum Engineering degree (course code: H851) or an MEng Petroleum Engineering degree (UCAS course code: H850) in September 2009 are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

You should note that only applicants domiciled in the UK or EU, and classified as Home Fees are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

The successful applicant will receive £1,000 per year for the rest of their undergraduate degree programme (i.e. £4,000 over 4 years if undertaking a BEng Petroleum Engineering degree, or £5,000 over 5 years if undertaking an MEng Petroleum Engineering degree).

In addition, the CNR John Aina Petroleum Engineering Scholarship offer:

Fugro-Rovtech, an ROV company based in Aberdeen and specializing in subsea vehicles, is offering two Fugro-Rovtech Specialist Undergraduate Engineering Scholarships.

The scholarships are open to full time students starting the third year of any of the degree programmes in MEng Mechanical Engineering.
 
Two scholarships are available - one MEng Mechanical Engineering Scholarship and one MEng Electrical Engineering Scholarship

Halliburton, founded in 1919, is one of the world's largest providers of products and services to the energy industry. The company serves the upstream oil and gas industry throughout the life cycle of the reservoir - from locating hydrocarbons and managing geological data, to drilling and formation evaluation, well construction and completion, and optimizing production through the life of the field.

Two Halliburton Undergraduate Scholarships are open to students, on the degree programmes listed below, commencing:
•   3rd year of a BEng
•   3rd or 4th year of a MEng
•   3rd year of a BSc

Halliburton will award one Specialist Engineering Scholarship and one Specialist Geology and Petroleum Geology Scholarship per year.

All registered students meeting the criteria above, whether classified as UK/Home/EU or International are eligible to apply for these scholarships.

Support is valued at £1,000 per year for either two or three years as determined by programme classification, year of award and date of graduation.

In addition, the successful Halliburton scholars will have the opportunity to apply to Halliburton for a paid summer placement.

Chevron North Sea Ltd. is offering three Chevron Specialist Engineering Scholarships.

Chevron North Sea Ltd. will award three Chevron Specialist Engineering Scholarships. The scholarship is valued at £6,000 over three years and will be awarded to the successful applicant for the rest of their undergraduate degree programme.
The successful applicant will receive £1,000 per annum for year 3, £2,000 for year 4 and £3,000 for year 5 of their undergraduate degree programme (i.e. £6,000 over 3 years).

Two Technip Specialist Scholarships are available, one will be awarded to a fourth year MEng Undergraduate student and one to a final year MEng undergraduate student.

Support is valued at £2,000 per year for either one or two years as determined by programme classification, year of award and date of graduation.
