Post by: sparrow on Apr 16, 2010, 11:00 AM
The University of Surrey's Institute of Sound Recording (IoSR) has a research scholarship to offer to a student starting PhD research in October 2010 in the area of psychoacoustic engineering.

The scholarship will cover the cost of UK/EC tuition fees and provide an annual stipend of approximately £13k (tax-free).

To be eligible for the scholarship you must, at the start of the PhD, have been resident in the UK for the previous 3 years and have no restrictions on how long you can stay. If not a UK/EU citizen then your UK residency must have been for a main purpose other than full-time education.

Application:
To apply for the scholarship please follow our standard PhD applications procedure detailed on the Sound Recording MPhil/PhD page, state on your application form that you you would like to be considered for the IoSR 2010 Scholarship, say why you believe you are eligible, and steer your research proposal toward one of the projects outlined below.

The deadline for applications is Monday 10 May 2010 and interviews are likely to be held in the week commencing Monday 21 June.
