Job Title: Specialist, Electronic and Online Media Planning Monitoring

Locations: Lagos, Nigeria

Employer: Etisalat Nigeria

Job Summary: Assist in day-to-day execution of all media issues revolving around planning, buying and monitoring of electronic and digital media

Principal Functions:

•   Write media briefs and assist in evaluation of electronic and online media plans, including identifying media, timings, flighting, weights and cost estimates using AMPS, Diaries, etc

•   Evaluate rationale for all electronic media selections of stations and programmes

•   Assist in execution of Etisalat Nigeria?s media plans while ensuring compliance with defined media objectives and strategy

•   Monitor electronic and online media channels for relevant information and escalate to the Manager-Media Planning and Management as required

•   Assist in evaluating/ negotiating appropriate discounts to maximize media spend with media houses and suppliers

•   Conduct research, develop first drafts of mitigating strategies for negative media coverage, and present findings for the attention of the Manager-Media Planning and Management

•   Assist in exploring new online media opportunities/ possibilities of utilization of unconventional media

•   Assist in sourcing strategic sponsorship properties

•   Carry out periodic reviews of all Etisalat Nigeria sponsorships and evaluate new and innovative platforms

•   Follow up with media agency on supervision and execution of electronic media campaigns

•   Follow up on raising and renewal of media contracts

•   Follow up on ensuring strict compliance with media partners and analyze the compliance reports as sent by the monitoring agency

•   Liaise with the Finance function in facilitating prompt payment of all 3rd party media service providers

•   Liaise with relevant unit/ team/ function in carrying out all relevant electronic and online media management activities

•   Prepare/ compile agreed periodic activity and performance reports for the attention of the Manager-Media Planning and Management

•   Attend team/ divisional/ departmental meetings as required

•   Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager-Media Planning and Management

Educational Requirements:

•   Bachelor?s degree

•   Postgraduate/ professional qualification in a related field will provide an advantage

Experience,Skills & Competencies:

•   Between three (3) and five (5) years directly relevant post-NYSC work experience ? including within media agencies

•   Ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate competencies in the following areas:

•   Advanced proficiency with Media Star/ MPS planning tools

•   Excellent communication skills

•   Strong results orientation
