Scholarships for Overseas Students at University of York, UK

The University of York has been welcoming students from all over the world since it was established. International students form an integral part of the community on campus, and currently just over 20% of her students come from outside the UK.

The University of York has the following scholarships for applicants who pay tuition fees at the overseas rate:

1. Overseas Continuation Scholarship (OCS)
2. Overseas Research Scholarship (ORS)
3. Scholarship for Overseas Students (SOS)


OVERSEAS CONTINUATION SCHOLARSHIP (OCS)

For current University of York Masters students who are progressing to PhD studies at the University of York.

•   The scholarship is worth £5,000 as a deduction from tuition fees.
•   You must hold an offer for academic study commencing in October 2011 to be eligible to apply.

OVERSEAS RESEARCH SCHOLARSHIP (ORS)

For applicants wishing to commence PhD study at the University of York. Students must be outstanding academically and have the support of their chosen department at York.

•   The scholarship will pay the full overseas tuition fee and a stipend of £5,000 per year.
•   You must hold an offer for academic study commencing in October 2011 to be eligible to apply.

SCHOLARSHIP FOR OVERSEAS STUDENTS (SOS)

For applicants of any nationality (outside the EU), wishing to study any subject (excluding HYMS students) at any level as a full-time student at the University of York.

•   The scholarship is worth one-third or one-sixth of the overseas tuition fee for each year of successful study.
•   This is a competitive scholarship based on academic merit and financial need.
•   You must hold an offer for academic study commencing in October 2011 to be eligible to apply.
