The Graduate School of Theology and Religious Studies of the University of Groningen is looking for a PhD candidate (0,9 fte) for the project 'Religion and Good Citizenship'.The position is related to a larger research programm of the Institute for Integration and Social Efficacy (ISE). The institute ISE aims to contribute to the integration and social efficacy in society through scientific knowledge gathered from the perspectives of social, organizational, and cross-cultural psychology.

Requirements:
We are looking for enthusiastic candidates with a Master's degree or equivalent, in a (sub)discipline in which the doctoral study will take place. The degree must have been obtained within a reasonable period of time and with results that justify the expectation that the student will be able to successfully complete the programme in four years. Candidates must have sufficient knowledge of the Dutch language.

Furthermore, candidates must have sufficient knowledge of English: a TOEFL score of at least 625 (paper), 263 (computer) or 113 (internet), or a minimum score of 7.5 in IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is required.

This PhD position is available as of September 1, 2010.
