NES Global Talent is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and direct staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the Oil & Gas Industry. Our client, a leading exploration and production oil and gas operator, have an opportunity for a Shutdown Preparation Planner to work on a contract basis, in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

The Shutdown Preparation Planner will assist the shutdown team members and coordinator in all the preparatory activities related to the planned shutdowns, prepare and coordinate with the definition of the shutdown work scope until approval by management, prepare and initiate scope of service, identification of major resources and supervise the overhaul shutdown during work, and will prepare and ensure that preparation activities are carried out in accordance with existing company rules, and that all HSE requirements are adhered to at all times. They will prepare presentations and interim reports, prepare and coordinate the preparation of the shutdown schedule, assist the shutdown team in coordinating the preparation of the shutdown as per the approved plan, ensuring materials procurement, resources mobilization, cost follow-up and planning updating, and will monitor procurement activities and ensure that critical items with long lead delivery are identified in advance. The Shutdown Preparation Planner will follow-up the shutdown works performance, ensure update of technical documentation after modifications done during the shutdown are completed, visit the site on regular basis to ensure that shutdown plans are understood and followed, and will supervise contractors' activities before and during the shutdown window.

The successful applicant will be a Shutdown specialist with a strong knowledge and experience in the Oil & Gas industry, will have previous experience in production, operations or project management, will have a strong command of Primavera planning software and Microsoft applications, and will have a knowledge of international standards.
