The College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, invites applications for up to 12 postdoctoral fellowships for the Academic Year 2011.

The College comprises 3 Schools: Humanities and Social Sciences; Art, Design, and Media; and Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information.

This year, up to 9 fellowships will be available at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences in the following areas:
1. Economics - Environment and Climate Change
2. Psychology – Mental Health in the Context of Asia
3. Psychology – Cognitive Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology
4. Economics / Psychology – Social Aspects of a Changing Population
5. Linguistics and Multilingual Studies – Language,Culture and Cognition
6. Linguistics and Multilingual Studies – Grammar and Interaction
7. English – Asian Literature and Culture
8. History – History of Science, Technology, Medicine and Business
9. Philosophy – Chinese Philosophy

Successful applicants will be attached to a relevant academic division within the School. The proposed supervisors for the themes above are subject to change. Depending on the research proposals from successful candidates, Divisions will determine the most suitable supervisor.

1. Communication Research – Virtual Humans/ Human Factors
2. Communication Research – Archives and Heritage
3. Public and Promotional Communication – ICT for Developing Countries
