Mobitel commenced operations in 1998 with a national license to provide telecommunication services in the 2.0/2.2GHz band and a regional license to operate in Delta State - Nigeria in the 3.5GHz band. Mobitel provided both wireline and Wireless Local Loop (WLL) solution and was considered a pioneer in the Nigerian market.

The following vacancy currently exist at Mobitel Nigeria:

Position: Customer Technical Support -Wireless (Wimax Line)

Job Scope:
To Conduct Installation, and Maintenance of Wimax CPE at Customers premises. 
Coordinate with NOC in the commissioning and Testing of Line
Familiarity in the fundamentals of Point to Multipoint CPEs, Possess an understanding of Computer Networking.  Must be skilled in Proper Equipment and Cable Installation Methods, Experienced in the use of GPS, Compass, Laptops and Digital Volt Meter.


Responsibilities:
1.   Installation and Maintenance of Wireless (Wimax Line)-Coordinate with NOC during the Installation & Maintenance work
2.   Report to Head of Customer Technical Support on the daily status of Installation & Maintenance Assignments.

Requirements:
1.   Bachelor degree on Telecommunications, Electrical, IT/Computer Engineering or related area.
2.   Experience in the Installation Wireless Point to Point and Multipoint CPE Devices.
3.   Knowledge in Operations & Maintenance of Telecom Equipment
4.   Can work with minimal supervision
5.   Computer Networking and Use of Mechanical Installation Tools
6.   Must be computer literate.
7.   Ability to work off hours and weekends to meet work demands
