Oil Producing Company Recruiting 12 Engineering Positions

An indigenous oil producing company is expanding its operations and seeks to recruit additional staff. Candidates who meet the following requirements are invited to apply for these jobs in Nigeria.

1. OPERATIONS ACCOUNTANT

Requirements:
•   2-3 years of experience in a major company as a project or operations accountant.
•   First hand knowledge and experience of operations is essential as is the ability to understand the activities behind the numbers.
•   Knowledge of oil industry accounting is desirable.
•   A first number.
•   Knowledge of oil industry accounting is desirable.
•   A first degree in accounting, finance or economics would be appropriate.

2. TECHNICAL ASSISTANT

Requirements:
•   Technical Assistant will be responsible for preparing technical reports, conducting numerical analysis and preparing presentations.
•   Excellent skills in standard computer packages including Microsoft Office excel, power point and word are essential. Graphic design and DAC skills are an advantage.
•   2-3 years of experience in similar jobs in Nigeria are accepted.
•   2-3 years of experience in a major company monitoring budgetary performance of large projects. The ability to produce written and graphical presentations is essential.
•   Oil industry experience is desirable but not essential.
•   A first degree in accounting, finance, economics or engineering would be appropriate, but this is not an accounting job in Nigeria.

3. PLANNER

Requirements:
•   2-3 years experience in a major company planning and scheduling large projects.
•   A through understanding of planning and scheduling activities and optimizing resource constraints is required.
•   Excellent skills in a planning package are essential.
•   Oil industry experience is desirable but not essential.
•   A first degree in a technical discipline is excepted but not essential

4. OFF TAKE-CO-ORDINATOR

Requirements:
•   Off-Take Cordinator will be responsible for organizing all aspects of oil offtakes including liaison with the appropriate regulators, clients and officials.
•   3 years of experience in offtake operations is highly desirable.
•   Knowledge of the commercial aspects of sea transport is desirable.
•   A degree in an appropriate discipline is required.

5. PROCESS ENGINEER

Requirements:
•   Degree in chemical engineering with 2 – 4years of experience with a service company or an oil producing company performing process engineering, including oil and gas facility design.
•   Excellent skills using industry simulation packages are essential.
•   A working knowledge of industry design codes is also essential.
•   Some field experience of construction would be an added advantage

6. SAFETY ENGINEER

Requirements:
•   Degree HND in safety related discipline, either graduate or post graduate with 2 – 4years of experience with a reputable service company or an oil producing company in a safety jobs in Nigeria is required.
•   Knowledge of safety standards and regulations for oil and gas operations is essential.
•   Some field experience is required.

7. OFFSHORE/MARINE ENGINEER

Requirements:
•   Degree in offshore or marine engineering with 5 years of experience in a company involve in offshore structures.
•   Knowledge of the design, or the construction od the installation of offshore structures is required.
•   A through understanding of the appropriate industry standards is essential.
•   Experience in the maintenance of offshore structure would be highly regarded.

8. MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

Requirements:
•   Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with 2 – 4years of experience with a service company or an oil producing company in a maintenance planning jobs in Nigeria.
•   Detailed knowledge of maintenance procedure and planning methods is required.
•   Knowledge of oil industry standards and the regulatory requirements for offshore installations is essential.
•   Some hands on maintenance experience wll be highly regarded

9. MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Requirements:
•   Degree in mechanical engineering with 2 – 4years of experience with a service company or an oil producing company in a mechanical engineering jobs in Nigeria.
•   Good technical knowledge of typical mechanical equipment found on an oil producing facility is required.
•   Design experience is also required. Operational experience would be an advantage.

10. PETROLEUM ENGINEER

Requirements:
•   Degree in chemical or petroleum engineering with 2 – 4years of experience with a service company or an oil producing company in a petroleum engineering, production, engineering or production optimization jobs in Nigeria.
•   Knowledge of production models is required

GENERAL

•   These jobs in Nigeria are hands on roles that will require some travel to remote sites.
•   First degree must be first or second class
•   For all roles, excellent numerical skills and excellent attention to details are essential. Excellent computing skills in MS excel and words are also required.
•   Attendance at a post graduate oil industry training program such as PTI, IPS or SIPT will be an advantage.
