(This position will be filled at the FSN-11 level with promotion to target grade of FSN-12/FP-03 after one year with supervisor's recommendation).

WORK HOURS: Full-time; 40 hours/week
SALARY: OR -Ordinarily Resident–N5,050,289 p.a.(Starting basic salary)
Trainee Grade: FSN-11/1

In addition to the basic salary, all allowances will be paid in accordance with the Mission Local Compensation Plan.
NOR - Not Ordinarily Resident - AEFM - US$61,759
EFM - US$53,003 Starting Salary p.a.
Trainee Grade: FP-04/1

BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:
•   The incumbent is the senior technical advisor on HIV/AIDS adult and pediatric treatment under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS relief (PEPFAR) for CDC Nigeria.
•   Responsibilities include day-to-day program management and development, monitoring, reporting and close collaboration with PEPFAR partners to ensure implementation is carried out in accordance with program strategic objectives and internationally recognized best practices in treatment.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
NOTE: All applicants are instructed to address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each criterion.
1. MBBS or MD degree in Medicine is required.
2. Five (5) years of mid-to-senior level public health experience and one (1) additional year of experience at the managerial level, involving coordination with an international agency, in developing, implementing and evaluating HIV/AIDS adult and pediatric treatment programs.
3. Level IV (fluency) Speaking/ Writing in English is required.
4. Thorough public health knowledge of current HIV/AIDS issues, treatment and program management is required.
5. Intermediate skill level of Microsoft Word & Excel packages.
6. Strong oral and written communication skills are required.

SELECTION PROCESS
When fully qualified, U.S. Citizen Eligible Family Members (USEFMs) and U.S.
Veterans are given preference. Therefore, it is essential that the candidate specifically address the required qualifications above in the application.

ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA
1. Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget, and residency status in determining successful candidacy.
2. Current employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply.
3. Current Ordinarily Resident employees with an Overall Summary Rating of Needs
Improvement or Unsatisfactory on their most recent Employee Performance Report are not eligible to apply.
4. Currently employed U.S. Citizen EFMs who hold a Family Member Appointment
(FMA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment.
5. Currently employed NORs hired under a Personal Services Agreement (PSA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment unless currently hired into a position with a When Actually Employed (WAE) work schedule.
