Finland celebrates its Independence Day today, December 6, 2010. It is known that Independence Day brings Finns together, if only around their TV sets.

In most of the last two decades at least, Finland celebrates Independence Day in traditional fashion characterized by a military parade by members of the Finnish Defence, candles in windows, ceremonial raising of the Finnish flag in Helsinki's Kaivopuisto, torchlight parades by students, and wreaths to be laid at the grave of the Unknown Soldier.

We at The InfoStride sincerely felicitate and celebrate with Finland on this day... Celebrate with Finland... Share your goodwill message here...

Happy Independence Celebration! Hyvää Itsenäisyyspäivää

The Finnish Independence Day parade is much more of sober reflection, paying respect to the brave souls who fought the Freedom with the Russians about 70 years ago...
