Mamman alongside Nasaman Oil and Christian Taylor, a Sierra Leonean, are being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for alleged conspiracy, obtaining money under false pretence and forgery of documents.
At the resumed hearing of the case presided over by Justice Adeniyi Onigbanjo in Lagos, the counsel to the EFCC, Francis Usani, noted that the matter had earlier been adjourned to yesterday (Tuesday) for trial, saying the commission would not be able to continue with the trial because of "some pressing issues" that would help the court in its ruling.
"The prosecution intends to join one Seun Ogunbambo as defendant in the matter. This is because as at the time the charge was filed, information relating to Ogunbambo had not reached the EFCC," Usani said.
But the defence counsel, Toyin Pinheiro, said he did not object to the submission of the EFCC, thus they would wait for the amendment of the charges to be effected.
The defendants had earlier been arraigned and granted bail by the same court.
