Job Description:

•   Coordinate and Administer Tier 1,  2 and 3 Tender Committee activities

•   Control and maintain the relevant registers necessary for  adequate tracking and smooth administration of the Procurement function

•   Design and Monitor workflow/results involved in the Requests for Quotation (RFQ) and the Requests for Proposal (RFP) process so as to ensure every transaction is checked and in compliance with PPP's and report on breaches where required.

•   Design a monitoring system for all items purchased by PO and ensue turn around time (TAT)  for delivery is achieved as negotiated

•   Liaise with User Departments in identifying, collating and coordinating required/projected procurement services for the FY.

•   Monitor and report purchase order life cycle in accordance with MTNN policy

•   Develop a procurement service level agreement for the business and manage compliance to the SLA's

•   Design and Manage the procurement help desk in conformance to MTN's customer service standards

•   Prepare and distribute monthly and other periodic reporting as required.

•   Prepare, review and report budgets and expenditure for P&SS department

•   Review and develop PPP's for the Procurement unit as required

•   Develop and manage methodologies to measure savings and other SLA's

Job Conditions:   

•   Standard MTNN working conditions

•   Extra hours may be needed

Reporting To:   Senior Manager Procurement

Required Skills:

•   A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a numerate discipline.

•   Professional certification in Purchasing and Supply Management or  Supply chain Management, Quality Management or MBA

•   8 years relevant work experience, of which

•   5 – 6 years should be in the Procurement function of a reputable/ world class organization..

•   Proven track record of customer service and efficient resource management

•   2 years experience in a supervisory/ managerial role

Qualification:

•   A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a numerate discipline.

•   Professional certification in Purchasing and Supply Management or Supply chain Management, Quality Management or MBA
