Queens Park Rangers have confirmed that Bobby Zamora is facing three months on the sidelines as he is to undergo a hip operation.
Zamora, 31, was absent from the squad that lost 3-1 in the Premier League against Southampton last Saturday - a result which ramped up the pressure on manager Mark Hughes.
The striker is now set for a spell on the sidelines after a club statement said he is to undergo "exploratory operation following a recent hip injury sustained in training."
