Al Jazeera is reporting that massive protests in Tunis has forced Mr. Ben Alli to flee the north African state.
The army has taken control and waiting for Tunisian parliament Speaker, Fuad Mbazaa, to take over as interim leader.
Ben Ali has been the president of Tunisia since 1987
