THE funeral of the late Itsekiri Princess (Mrs.) Victoria Oritsetoma Ayu (nee Emiko) continues, from 11am, today with a celebration of life/reception at the Olu's Palace Grounds, Warri.

A thanksgiving service holds tomorrow at the Cathedral Church of St. Luke's (Anglican Communion), 16, Boyo Road, Sapele, Delta State while a reception follows immediately at her residence (4, Akudu Crescent, Off AT&P Road & P Quarters,) in the town.

The late princess who hailed from the Ejoh Royal Family of Bateren in Warri South-West Local Council, the Ebedi and Eto Families of Iyede and Olomoro in Isokoland and married to the Ayu and Egbe Families of Abiugborodo/Koko, Warri North, all in Delta State, passed on, aged 80 years.

The burial ceremonies began on Thursday January 13, 2011 with a service of songs at her residence. Her remains were interred yesterday at her ancestral home, Ode Itsekiri.
