Ekiti State Government has reiterated its commitment to the welfare of her workforce, even as it demands that workers be dedicated and punctual at work.
Deputy Government of the state, Mrs. Funmi Olayinka spoke in Ado-Ekiti, while presenting cheques to beneficiaries from 16 local government areas of the state. She said the disbursement of over N93.7 million as housing and car loans to Local Government Staff in the state was in fulfillment of Governor Kayode Fayemi's pronouncement that his administration would restore the car and housing loans cancelled by the ousted administration.
She added that, "In fulfillment of this administration's intention to eradicate poverty and in consonance with government's 8-point agenda, the loan that are being given today would assist beneficiaries to own their personal houses or vehicles which would invariably enhance productivity.
"According to her, "government has not only restored the loans, but will also ensure that adequate fund is released into the various loans disbursement boards, agencies and departments to enable all categories of workers enjoy the loans."
