Malaga are facing UEFA sanctions over their failure to meet repayments on outstanding debts.
The Qatari-owned Spanish side are one of nine clubs that are set to receive further punishment as UEFA clamps down on clubs that do not meet its financial requirements.
European football's governing body confirmed they have lifted the suspension of prize money for 16 of the 23 clubs originally included in September after they cleared debts.
Malaga failed to make the deadline though, and have now been referred to UEFA's adjudicatory chamber. There are a number of possible sanctions, including disqualification from current competitions.
