DAAD in partnership with ANSTI offers a fellowships scheme for the members of ANSTI institutions and Sub-Saharan African nationals undertaking postgraduate study. Its purpose is to promote international academic exchange as well as educational co-operation with developing countries. For consideration to the fellowship, applicants must take admission at the host university before submission of  their application for the fellowship.

Study Subject(s): Courses offered by the universities.

Course Level: This fellowship is awarded to pursue master's and PhD degree level.

Scholarship Provider: ANSTI/DAAD

Scholarship can be taken at: Africa and ANSTI Member Institutions.

Eligibility: -Applicants must be from ANSTI member institutions and may not exceed the age limit of 36 years by date of nomination.

- Applicants must apply for studies outside their home countries.

- Sub-Saharan African nationals are eligible to apply for studies outside their home countries.

-To be eligible Applicants must hold a bachelors degree with at least 2nd class upper division.

-Prior to the application for fellowship applicants must also obtain official admission to the host university.

Scholarship Open for International Students: The member of ANSTI member institutions (http://anstigrants.unon.org/mem.php) and Sub-Saharan African nationals can apply for this scholarship.

Scholarship Description: The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), a publicly funded self governing organization consist of higher learning institute in Germany offers a number of distinct funding and scholarship  programmes in order to encourage international academic exchange as well as educational co-operation with developing countries. In partnership with ANSTI DAAD offers a wide range of region scholarships to pursue master's and PhD degree.

Duration of award(s): Initially it covers one year but extension is possible up to two years for master course or more for PhD course based on the successful completion of previous year.

What does it cover? Fellowships cover fees, subsistence and international travel.
