Senior Women Academic Administrators of Canada (SWAAC) offers Graduate Student Award of Merit for women registered in Master's or PhD programs at the University of British Columbia for the academic year of 2013. Scholarship Open for International Students: It is open to international students, Canadian students and permanent residents who are registered in Master's or PhD programs at the University of British Columbia.
Scholarship Description: At least three awards, each in the amount of $2,500, will be awarded annually to the women graduate students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in the university or general community while maintaining exemplary academic records.The Faculty of Graduate Studies will appoint a Selection Committee to nominate one eligible person to the national-level competition. UBC may nominate a student to the national competition every four years.

How to Apply: Certified true copies of official transcripts are acceptable. Students may request certified true copies of official transcripts from their UBC graduate program; graduate programs are to provide certified true copies to students in a sealed envelope, for the student to submit to the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Printouts of a student's UBC academic history from SISC, either by the student or by the graduate program, are not acceptable.
