Osogbo – The Osun government on Tuesday said it would ensure a befitting burial for the late Justice Kayode Eso as he lies in state, Thursday at the state secretariat, Osogbo.
Mr Oguntola Toogun, the Chairman of the committee set up on the burial of the legal icon, made this disclosure at a press conference in Osogbo.
Eso, a retired Justice of the Supreme Court, died at the age of 87.
He said the funeral service for the legal icon would be held on Friday at the Cathedral Holy Trinity, Omofe, Ilesa.
Toogun said that the late jurist had to his credit many landmark judgments that marked him out as an exceptional legend in the judiciary.
He said Eso presided over major cases in his lifetime including the celebrated presidential election judgment of 1979 where he had a lone dissenting judgment. (NAN)
