Job Description:
IDC is constantly expanding its global business in the Middle East & Africa region due to which we are looking for a senior business professional to join our team in Lagos/Nigeria in position of the Senior Research Analyst – Telecoms. The position, reporting to the Program Director, Telecoms will serve both West Africa operations as well as support the regional goals and business strategy in the Middle East and Africa.
Ensuring the satisfaction and publication of the syndicated research, Senior Research Analyst will be responsible for:
• Conducting primary and secondary market research and analyzing business and market trends for WA region;
• Working with quantitative market sizing and forecasting analytical tools;
• Preparing thorough and well-organized reports, writing of summaries, publications & conclusions;
• Contributing to/Lead consulting project engagements;
• Playing a role in business development by building and maintaining industry relationships and assisting in sales efforts.
Desired Skills & Experience:
• University degree from a well-recognised university
• Relevant total work experience of at least 5 years out of which minimum 2 years shall be dedicated to market and/or equity research in the Telecoms field;
• Knowledge of the WA ICT markets;
• Excellent written and spoken English; French is an advantage;
• Industry-specific knowledge (Telecoms industry) is a plus;
A candidate has to be able to demonstrate:
• An understanding of the Telecoms industry, and in particular of Telecoms/IT markets;
• Excellent writing skills with relevant published reports and/or studies available for review;
• Excellent presentation skills, ability to command an audience and confidence in client engagement models;
• Ability to discuss and analyze technical issues;
• An aptitude for business analysis or quantitative analysis;
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively;
