King's College London, Department of  Twin Research & Genetic Epidemiology offers 2-year postdoctoral position for research  in Computational Epigenomics. The research position is within the grade 6 scale and is currently £33,343 to £39,335, per annum. It also includes £2,323 allowance, per annum. International applications will be considered for this position. Scholarship Description: Applications are invited for a Research Associate in Computational Epigenomics at the Department of Twin Research, King's College London.  The 2-year postdoctoral position will focus on developing and applying methods to study the role of epigenetic processes in complex traits. The successful candidate will work on the largest twin-based epigenetic projects to date, the EpiTwin project , which contains next-generation DNA methylation sequencing profiles of 5,000 twins. The successful candidate will use statistical and computational approaches to identify epigenetic signatures of complex disease. Method development will include quantifying epigenetic signals and extending statistical genetic models to epigenetics in complex trait twin models. This presents an exciting opportunity to develop leading edge tools for the analysis of epigenetic data that will be applied to multiple clinically-relevant traits.
