BASIC FUNCTIONS:
This position will report to the Senior Accountant and will be responsible for providing constant reporting to senior management on financial and budget targets concerning the state offices in the country. He/She will also be responsible for maintaining the state's accounting systems, providing technical and application support for the accounting system
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
COMPLIANCE
1. Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
2. Develops and periodically reviews and updates Standards Operating procedures (SOP) to ensure continuing currency and relevance in providing guidance to management and employees.
3. Follow-up to ensure that compliance Issues/concerns within the organization are being appropriately evaluated and resolved.
4. Provides reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep senior management informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts.
5. Institutes and maintains an effective compliance communication program for the organization, including promoting (a) use of the Feedback Finance hotline; (b) heightened awareness of SOPs and
