Alan Pardew has called for the Football Association to take action over Sir Alex Ferguson's misconduct towards officials during Manchester United's 4-3 win over Newcastle on Boxing Day.
Ferguson avoided sanction from the FA after launching an angry tirade against linesman Jake Collin following Newcastle's second goal, before confronting referee Mike Dean at half-time.
Pardew, who was fined £20,000 and handed a two-match touchline ban for pushing assistant referee Peter Kirkup in September, believes the FA should overturn their decision to reprimand Ferguson and establish consistency in their punishments.
"I think Mike Dean might feel slightly disappointed he didn't do something about it," Pardew said."I think the pressure that was on him was tough for a referee to take.
