Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers did not travel to Loftus Road for the club's Premier League match against Queens Park Rangers on Sunday after he was taken ill in London.
Goalkeeper Brad Jones and the Reds' head of performance Glen Driscoll were also sent home by the club's medical team after picking up a bug.
Liverpool assistant manager Colin Pascoe and coach Mike Marsh stepped up to take charge of the match in Rodgers's stead.
